MiningSolve:
The Core Decision Support Tool that Undergirds Our Strategic Approach
to Data Mining Automation.
Our
Approach to Attitudinal Imputation ModelingSM
To overcome
these limitations, in 1994 Decision Support Sciences began development and
market trials of a new interdisciplinary protocol, subsequently deploying
it at two top ten U.S. banks, and the third largest thrift in the
country. While the specifics of the approach are necessarily proprietary,
we can describe the AIMSM protocol
in general terms. AIMSM:
Develops a values survey that differs
by product and industry.
Uses a survey methodology that quantifies
what the customer values (which does not change over time) rather
than how the product is currently performing (which does change
over time.)
Finds best-in-class clusters of customers
with similar values resulting in a new buyer value based segmentation
scheme.
Develops a predictive multivariate model
which predicts the value clusters and individual values.
